Manager, DER Engineering
The Manager, DER Engineering reports to the Director, Grid Management. This position is responsible for the execution and oversight of NCEMC’s DER and microgrid development for portfolio optimization and reliability purposes. The Manager, DER Engineering will be involved with all DER projects over their entire lifecycle ensuring consistency and operability across the fleet. The Manager of DER Engineering will be instrumental in developing and implementing new use cases for DER and microgrids on NCEMC’s member systems.

You will serve as our media contact and spokesperson, responding to inquiries and proactively issuing pitches and releases to share news of the work of electric cooperatives in the state, from energy innovation and sustainability projects to outage restoration. In this visible position, you will build and maintain relationships with journalists and create, implement and adapt engaging PR plans and materials to garner positive coverage. Working interdepartmentally and across platforms, you will develop a strong industry network and connections with co-workers and member cooperatives, and support member cooperatives in their media outreach.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the financial reporting of North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC) and its subsidiaries, North Carolina Association of Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (NCAEC), and Tarheel Electric Membership Association, Inc. (TEMA). The position will assist with developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Data Engineering & Architecture Principal will be responsible for leading, migrating, and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection to meet the needs of the organization. This position will also be accountable for making recommendations to strengthen system controls, increasing efficiency using automated processes, and documenting technical requirements and specifications. This role will also be responsible for making system and application recommendations based upon industry best practices, technical viability, and operational standards.
